Going "fishing" or going "catching". The challenge, the peace, the vacation, or just something to do on the weekend. Millions travel to waterways to enjoy the sport of fishing. Since the beginning of time fishing and hunting have been the backbone of survival. In our modern times these sports don't have the same need for survival as it once did, but most sportman have reverence for the sport and take a serious view on the preservation of nature. Fishing can have many meanings but the best is what the sport offers family, friends, and the individual.

Kacey. A charter company and fresh salmon had only been thought about or seen on TV. Coming from a small town in Idaho a six inch trout was the only fish he had caught. Catching a 12 lb salmon with his son was really a life turning experience. Conversation with Milt Gudgell conceived what is now "Fishing Pacific Northwest" But, it didn't end there. What was the story going to be about? Professional sport fisherman? What? Just as Stephen and Kacey had experienced. "for Everyday People". It sounded and felt right. Show everyday people the how's, where's and joys of fishing. What is the drag, or why different poles for different fish, or should they use a lure or live bait. Do you know that a sturgeon is a fresh water fish but lives part of its life in the ocean? To take to the world a fishing experience that many never find.
