In the early morning before the sun rises and the birds begin to sing, sits a young boy beside his Daddy's bed awaiting the alarm to ring. Dressed in rubber boots a fishing vest, with rod and reel in hand he awaits for his Dad to awaken and say let's go fishing my little man. I will always remember fishing with my Dad and all those wonderful times, and I will always remember him every time I wet a line. I remember hunting worms in the dark with a dim flashlight. My Dad would say keep the light out of the eyes son or the worms will duck out of site. My Dad would always say whisper so you don't scare the fish. I wonder why he would yell like hell when the cast he threw would miss. Now my Dad had made the journey to calm waters from above and in his creel he carries his bait and tackle and all my love. Fish on Daddy by Arnie (Bud) Austad.
