Lewis and Clark's first glimpse of the Pacific Ocean, November 15, 1805. They had no idea that their findings would some day become the southern tip of what is now known as the Long Beach Peninsula. This area of land, about mile and half wide and surrounded on three sides by water, would some day become a prosperous recreational and fishing peninsula.

Sturgeon Fishing on the Columbia
The Long Beach Peninsula lies on the western boarder of the state of Washington. It is surrounded on three sides by water.
