Stephen Allen President of SunDog Film Productions, had for 15 years traveled across the US and some of Canada. He loved New York City with bars 6 stories high on homes and the hardwoods of Vermont. Wyoming where the winds can blow in two directions at the same time, and the coasts of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans and Gulf of Mexico. He took pictures with his trusty $10.00 camera( no name) and then his Panasonic VHS.
An inner desire for something more but not quite knowing what it was when Steve's brother Blake,
Bam Film Productions, called him up and asked him if he could travel to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and help film the
World Champion Snowmobile Races. Not knowing it at the time but by 10AM standing on the slope of
Snow King Mountain with a camera (not the Panasonic) in hand he recongnized the desire he had been feeling.

Taking from savings and confidence from his wife Bev, (the book keeper and back up camera women), SunDog Film Productions came alive. Obtaining a Washington business license and purchase of professional cameras and computors, the business was off and kind of running. After doing a few weddings, a commercial here and their, SunDog settled into two main categories. Fishing in the PacificNorthwest and outdoors sports.
In 2007 Steve and his son Kacey booked a day salmon fishing trip with
Pacific Salmon Charters of Ilwaco, Washington. The experience was absolute enjoyment. Each caught their limit and vowed to come back again. Little did Steve know that 2 years later he would be filming for Pacific Salmon. Milt Gudgell and his wife Sarah has become great friends along with his 2 sons Dave and Rob. As they were visiting one day Milt expressed his concerns about the decline in sturgeon on the Columbia River. He promotes catch and release of sturgeon. After visiting with John North of the
Oregon Fish and Wildlife, John agreeded to do an interview on this subject. SunDog is promoting the catch and release of sturgeon and conservation of our natural resources. Fishing is a great sport. It can be enjoyed by old and young alike, as well as a great family activity. We don't want to leave out our friends at the
Washington Fish and Wildlife. The Columbia River boarders both states and the fishing regulations are governed by both.

Moving from his life long home in the desert lands of Idaho, the Pacific Northwest was a refreshing life. With the vegetation, trees, lakes, streams, and ocean life took on a new meaning of the outdoors. Lack of snow and mosquitos made the Pacific Northwest a very desirable place to settle down.
